The Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon® National Sales Competition

The Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon® National Sales Competition is a year-long competition to train and develop our students in all aspects of the sales process, not just in preparing them to make one sales call. The year-long approach also emphasizes that the pursuit of sales excellence is a journey, not a destination. We strive to help students understand the value of approaching sales as a deliberate and repeatable process. Competitors must study and perform throughout the school year in order to garner the top prizes and be called the Pro-Am winner. Partners participate by serving as coaches and judges of the competition at our Regional Conferences and National Convention.

2022 National Convention Prompt

PSE and Enterprise have cultivated a long-standing relationship over the years. This year we celebrate major milestones for both organizations– Pi Sigma Epsilon will be celebrating its 70th anniversary and Enterprise Holdings will be celebrating its 65th anniversary.

Enterprise’s Founder, Jack Taylor, didn’t talk about founding values when he started up his business back in 1957 – he and his team just lived them. They set the example through personal commitment to the company and its customers.

The Enterprise culture is built on a set of founding values that help create relationships with our customers, our communities, our partners, as well as one another. There’s a reason why the Enterprise Management Training program is repeatedly recognized as a great place to launch your career. The common denominator of success for PSE and Enterprise has been leveraging our community and building meaningful partnerships.

Using the theme of the 2022 National Convention “The History of our Future”, use storytelling to inspire the crowd and demonstrate how community makes us better than we are on our own.

The prompt will be the same for both rounds.

Format:

  • TED-Talk Style Keynote Presentation
  • 5-7 Mins
  • First Round: Pre-Recorded Video Submission
  • Final Round: Live Presentation at National Convention
  • Finalists will receive written feedback prior to the final round
  • One 3×5 Index Notecard allowed
